Robert Schmid (Schmiddy) leads strategy for Haystack Reputation, helping clients monitor, manage, and strengthen their presence across search and AI platforms. With over 20 years of experience in digital marketing and SEO, he develops comprehensive frameworks that align business objectives with high-impact online visibility.
Before joining Haystack Needle, Schmiddy held leadership roles both in-house and at agencies, most recently serving as the global SEO lead for Kiehl’s at L’Oréal. His work has spanned legal, healthcare, and e-commerce verticals, with a focus on reputation strategy, AI-assisted search optimization, and performance-driven campaigns.
Schmiddy holds a BS in Business, Management, and Economics from SUNY Empire State University. When he’s not tracking Google’s latest algorithm update, he’s coaching softball and spending time with his wife, three kids, and their dog, Leo, on Long Island.
